INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study
Communication is no doubt a very important aspect of human life in the world today. Most efforts have been geared towards making the dissemination of information as it concerns businesses or public relations.
Digital display signage is a form of electronic display that shows menus information, advertising and other messages. Digital signs can be found in both public and private environment, including retail stores, hotels, restaurant, schools, banks etc.
Advertising using digital signage is a form of out of home advertising in which video content, advertisement and messages may be displayed on digital signs with a common goal of delivering messages to specific location and customers at specific times. This is often called “Digital out of home or abbreviated as “DOOH”.
Since digital signage content may be both frequently and easily updated saving the printing and construction cost associated with static interactive abilities available through the accompanying employment of such real world interface as movement detection and image capture devices. It is world wide acceptable in the market place.
Digital display system relies on a variety of hardware to deliver the content. The components of a typical digital signage installation include one or more display screen media players and a content management server.
With the recent advancement of electronic especially the breakthrough in semiconductors and technology, man have found answer to some of its most problem. One of the area this have played a land mark role is in display system, thus this project will be able to display the word “WELCOME TO SLT DEPT”.
Statement of research Problem
Recently, scientist and technologist world wide have focused on how to design and construct digital display system.
The research studies in these areas dealt with construction of digital display system. Many efforts have been geared towards making the dissemination of information as effective as possible.
Therefore, the problem of this study is the use of integrated circuit to construct the digital display system.
Objective of the Study
The major purpose of this study is to design and construct digital display system which will be able to display the word “WELCOME TO SLT DEPT”.
